Position Summary

This is a part time Estimator and Parts  position. You will spend approximately 50% of your time working in the office and 50% in the shop.

 

A Body Shop Estimator inspects damaged vehicles, determines the extent of repairs required, and prepares accurate repair cost estimates. The estimator communicates with customers, insurance companies, and technicians to ensure efficient and profitable repair operations while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

 

A Body Shop Parts Personal will be responsible for checking in parts, storing parts, pulling parts, and ordering parts per the estimates written.

 

Key Responsibilities

•              Inspect damaged vehicles to assess structural, body, and mechanical damage.

•              Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software (such as CCC ONE, Mitchell).

•              Communicate repair processes, timelines, and costs to customers, as well as work with insurance adjusters to review and get approved repair estimates.

•              Order parts per the approved estimate from approved vendors.

•              When parts arrive, they will need labeled and stored until repairs start.

•              When job is in process all parts will be pulled and put on a cart for the technician and if they arrive while in process, they will be taken to the technician instead of stored.

•              Monitor repair progress and update estimates if additional damage is discovered.

•              Maintain accurate documentation of repair estimates, photos, and insurance paperwork.

•              Ensure repairs meet manufacturers and safety standards.

•              Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers when they come in, answering phone calls and voicemails.

Required Qualifications

•              High school diploma or GED.

•              Experience in auto body repair, collision estimating, or automotive service advising.

•              Knowledge of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and parts.

•              Familiarity with estimating software (CCC, Mitchell).

•              Strong communication and customer service skills.

•              Ability to interpret insurance guidelines and repair procedures.

•              Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

•              I-CAR certification or ASE certification (such as ASE B6 Damage Analysis & Estimating).

•              Previous experience in a collision repair facility.

•              Knowledge of OEM repair procedures.

PAY: $4,000.00-$4,500.00 per month.
