Miles Chevrolet is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team in Decatur, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and collaborating with customers and insurance companies to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and accurately assess the extent of the damage
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software and guidelines
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and repair technicians to explain estimates and repair processes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of repair methods, parts pricing, and insurance policies
- Work collaboratively with the body shop team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repairs
- Keep detailed records of inspections, estimates, and approvals
- Assist in managing repair schedules and customer follow-ups as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in a similar automotive estimating role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques, parts, and materials
- Proficiency with estimating software and tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
