Our Grand Rapids MI location is currently seeking a BOM Analyst. This role is responsible for executing accurate and product-ready data updates in ERP and PLM ensuring that customer demand can be reliably translated into correct BOMs, routings and manufacturing outputs while operating within established data standards and controlled change practices (clear request intake, peer review preparation, test execution and documented releases) to protect production stability and minimize rework. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining ERP and PLM product data (items, attributes, BOMs, routings, basic configuration tables and PLM document/part relationships) using approval templates, naming conventions and governance rules.
  • Processing and clarifying requests to ensure required inputs are present (what/why/when), capture acceptance criteria and route work for peer review per defined change control.
  • Execute defined QA/UAT test cases for data/configuration changes, capture test evidence and log defects for correction and closure. 
  • Maintaining document hygiene by following document naming and attachment /linkage conventions and validating released documents are correctly associated to items/parts where required.
  • Running data quality checks (for missing attributes, invalid dependencies, etc.) and correcting issues within authority or escalating systematic patterns.
  • Providing service-orientated support to internal data customers (such as Operations and Order Processing) by trouble shooting master data issues and timely communication for status and timelines and by supporting the product launch cycles with master data deliverables.


Educational and Technical Requirements include:

  • 1 year of experience (i.e. 1 internship) with ERP and BOMs is required.
  • Ability to follow controlled change steps, document work and execute test cases with strong attention to detail is required.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering or related technical field is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • MS Excel experience/skills including filters, pivots, V-lookups is preferred.
