Why This Role Matters

The Branch Manager I directs the day-to-day operations of a smaller UKFCU branch, ensuring it meets organizational goals in service, growth, financial performance, and compliance. With limited lending authority, this position is responsible for team supervision, branch performance metrics, member satisfaction, and representing UKFCU in the community.


What You’ll Do

Lending & Member Services

  • Assists members and employees with phone calls, answers questions about products and services; resolves problems within authority; refers problems that are beyond authority to the next level supervisor, along with recommendations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for members, delivering exceptional service and resolving escalated concerns.
  • Promote Credit Union products and services to meet member needs and branch goals.

Branch Operations & Oversight

  • Monitor and manage daily branch operations to ensure alignment with operational, financial, and compliance standards.
  • Prepare and submit standard reports; maintain communication with the main office; and participate in scheduled management meetings.
  • Ensure activities comply with established Credit Union policies and procedures.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate branch personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
  • Allocate branch resources effectively to meet service and operational demands.

Performance & Compliance Monitoring

  • Analyze branch performance and take corrective action to address unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Monitor regulatory and internal audit compliance and address exceptions.

Community & Member Engagement

  • Represent the Credit Union in relationships with members, sponsor organizations, vendors, and community partners.
  • Foster strong member relationships that support long-term financial wellness and member retention.
