    Building Administrative Assistant/Secretary
    12 month, full-time position, 7.5 hours per day (plus 30-minute unpaid lunch)
    $20/hr.

    Qualifications: 
    1. High School Diploma
    2. Phone Skills
    3. Ability to Courteously Greet the Public
    4. Proficient in Typing and Word Processing Skills, 
    5. Knowledge of General Office Procedures
    6. Ability to use Computer
    8. Previous experience as a Secretary

    Reports To: Building Principal

    Job Goal: To assist the Principal in the daily administration of the school.

    Performance Responsibilities: 
    1. Prepares and types correspondence, reports, notices, parent communications, etc. as directed, especially related to student attendance matters. Obtains, gathers and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts in usable form.
    2. Co-ordinates transportation of students daily and for school sponsored activities. Acts as a liaison to contracted bus services. Communicates needs and problems of transportation system.
    3. Tracks student attendance
    4. Maintains confidential student records and files as required.
    5. Maintains an accurate filing system.
    6. Places and receives telephone calls and records messages.
    7. Provides assistance to substitute teachers, general information, lesson plan locations, room/building areas, etc.
    8. Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort.
    9. Maintains master calendar of scheduled events and use of school facilities.
    10. Comforts and provides assistance to students as needed in lieu of nurse's presence.
    11. Performs related duties, as required. 
    12. Recognizes the need for confidentiality of student records, general district records and personnel files as referenced in the laws governing Rights to Privacy Act. Violations regarding inappropriate information provided or breech in the maintenance of the confidentiality of said files whether intentionally or unintentionally will result in review of continued employee status in the school district.
    13. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Building Administrator and/or Board of Education
