Day Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm


PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered on the first day of the next month after hire, 401(K) after 6 months


Overview: As a burn table operator for Keel Midwest, you will be responsible for independently setting up and operating the burn table, processing a variety of plate steel sizes and shapes, and ensuring products meet quality and efficiency standards. 



Job Functions:

  • Independently set up and operate the burn table. 
  • Cut plate steel of varying sizes and complexity according to work orders. 
  • Safely move and position metal sheets using hoists or overhead cranes. 
  • Verify finished product dimensions and quality using measurement tools. 
  • Assist in training Level I operators. 
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work area according to safety and operational procedures. 


Work Environment:  

  • Shop floor with exposure to steel debris, fumes, heat, noise, and moving machinery. 
  • PPE required at all times. 


Physical Demands:  

  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds independently; maneuver heavier sheets with assistance. 
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and standing for long periods. 

Requirements

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • 2–5 years of experience in plasma cutting or steel fabrication. 
  • Skilled in burn table operations and plate steel handling. 
  • Ability to read blueprints, cutting diagrams, and work orders. 
  • Apply basic shop math for precise measurements. 
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and equipment use. 
  • Ability to train and mentor entry-level operators.
