Job Description

The Business Analyst II supports operational efficiency, business process improvement, reporting, workflow automation, and business systems administration. This position works closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Convention Services, Facilities, and IT to improve workflows, enhance reporting capabilities, support business systems, and assist with data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple departments to identify opportunities for operational improvement and technology utilization.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $67,560-$84,450

  • Analyze, document, and improve operational workflows and business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Assist with process mapping, workflow documentation, and operational standardization efforts.
  • Coordinate process improvement initiatives across multiple departments.
  • Assist with system configuration, user support, and business process alignment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding system enhancements and integrations.
  • Maintain business system documentation and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Assist with business intelligence initiatives using Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Support development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support automation initiatives utilizing Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate automation effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Support training and adoption of new systems, reports, and business processes.
  • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in business systems, business analysis, process improvement, operations, reporting, analytics, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience within hospitality, convention centers, venues, events, or similar operational environments is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) preferred.
  • Familiarity with databases, SQL, reporting tools, APIs, and systems integrations preferred.
  • Experience with business systems administration and workflow automation preferred.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally move throughout the facility to attend meetings and support operational initiatives.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects occasionally.
