Business Analyst – Investment Management


Location: Philadelphia, PA, Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)


Globant is seeking a Business Analyst with strong investment management experience to support middle office and/or back office operations, contribute to Agile delivery, and partner closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.


Role Summary


The Business Analyst will work across business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, document user stories, support testing, and help drive successful delivery in an Agile environment. This role requires a strong understanding of investment management operations, excellent Jira skills, and hands-on experience supporting UAT and system testing.


Key Responsibilities




  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for investment management initiatives.




  • Partner with middle office and/or back office teams to understand operational workflows and identify process improvements.




  • Write clear Jira user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria to support Agile delivery.




  • Participate in PI Planning, sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and cross-functional delivery discussions.




  • Support UAT planning, execution, issue tracking, and validation of business requirements.




  • Conduct system testing and collaborate with QA and technology teams to resolve defects and ensure delivery quality.




  • Work closely with stakeholders to clarify scope, manage priorities, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.




Required Qualifications




  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within investment management [user-provided].




  • Strong working knowledge of middle office and/or back office operations [user-provided].




  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including PI Planning [user-provided].




  • Proficiency in writing Jira user stories with clear acceptance criteria [user-provided].




  • Hands-on experience with UAT and system testing [user-provided].




  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience supporting capital markets, asset management, or investment operations platforms.




  • Familiarity with Confluence, test management tools, and Agile/Scrum practices.




  • Experience working with global or cross-functional delivery teams.
