This role is responsible for owning and contributing to the product backlog while ensuring high-quality delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Agile teams to translate complex functional needs into clear requirements, supporting the development of robust financial systems focused on cleared derivatives back-office processing.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Own and contribute to the product backlog, including requirement definition, refinement, and prioritization in close collaboration with Product Owners
- Maximize product value by ensuring solutions align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational needs of cleared derivatives back-office processing
- Clearly articulate and communicate functional and non-functional requirements to development teams to ensure consistent and accurate delivery
- Work closely within Agile/Scrum teams (developers, QA, Product Owners) to deliver high-quality product increments
- Act as a senior point of contact for stakeholders, proactively driving alignment and resolving ambiguities in requirements
- Provide client support, including analysis of issues, clarification of requirements, and ensuring timely resolution of production/query-related topics
- Participate in and support testing activities (functional, integration, UAT) to ensure delivered features meet expected quality standards
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across product functionality, workflows, and delivery processes
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Strong expertise in Cleared Derivatives (Futures & Options) Back Office processing, including trade lifecycle, clearing, settlements, and reconciliation
- Alternatively, solid experience in Banking Risk Management or Treasury Management systems
- Strong understanding of financial products, post-trade processes, and operational workflows
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams
- Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong team-oriented mindset with ability to work in cross-functional and distributed teams
- Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or related field
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban)
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language
- CFA certification (any level)
- Agile certifications such as CSM, CSPO, or equivalent
- Certification in Quantitative Finance (e.g., IMQF or similar)
