Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for supporting business development and investment initiatives through financial analysis, market research, and data collection. Assist in evaluating potential opportunities by contributing to financial modeling, due diligence, and reporting. Provide analytical support for budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio monitoring, helping inform decision-making across mergers, acquisitions, internal developments, partnerships, and strategic projects. You will report to the Director of Business Development.
Primary Tasks:
- Collaborate on financial models to evaluate investments, strategic initiatives, and business cases, supporting long-term planning and analysis.
- Conduct market and competitor research to assess industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging growth opportunities.
- Support financial and operational due diligence by analyzing financial data, performance metrics, and strategic fit of potential opportunities, while maintaining confidentiality of all related information and documentation.
- Assist with portfolio analysis by tracking investment performance, capital utilization, and financial outcomes; contribute to reporting and recommendations.
- Prepare financial summaries, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings and performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting through data compilation, scenario modeling, and alignment with departmental goals.
- Support mergers and acquisitions, including opportunity screening, financial analysis, and transaction documentation.
- Assist in the evaluation of business development initiatives, including market entry, operational improvements, and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate across teams and stakeholders by organizing meetings, gathering information, and supporting the development of business proposals and presentations.
- Participate in process improvements for financial analysis and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field such as management science, finance, accounting, business, economics or quantitative field
Three (3) years of experience in business development, accounting, or relevant financial role
Hands-on proficiency with key software programs including Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and the potential to use advanced decision support analytic tools
Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
Working knowledge of overall business operations
Excellent commercial and financial acumen and attention to detail

Qualifications
