About The Job:

The Business Intelligence Analyst – Financial Reporting primarily owns the develop, delivery and maintain of financing, accounting, and reconciliation reporting while also supporting broader business reporting needs. The position also focuses on developing and maintaining reconciliation frameworks across subledger, GL, and operation modules to ensure data accuracy and alignment, identifies discrepancies, and performs root cause analysis to resolve issues and streamline processes. The position also supports data model standardization and financial definition governance, ensuring consistent logic and reporting alignment across departments. This position combines financial knowledge with technical expertise in data modeling and SQL to deliver controlled, scalable reporting solutions in partnership with Finance, Accounting, and IT.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, run, and maintain financial reports and data processes, including recurring month-end and ad hoc reporting.
- Develop and maintain reconciliation frameworks across subledger, general ledger, and operation modules, and identify discrepancies with root cause analysis to resolve issues and streamline processes.
- Support financial data definitions, calculation methodologies, maintain clear mapping, and logic documentation, ensure consistent definitions and alignment of metrics across departments.
- Build, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, alongside optimizing SQL queries and data processes to support financial requirements.
- Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting datasets to support evolving business and reporting needs.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT and business teams to support reporting requirements and broader business reporting needs as a hybrid role.
Qualifications You’ll Need:
Must Have:
- Strong technical expertise in the data field, including experience with data warehousing, data processing, and data analytics.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying, validating, and reconciling financial data.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience with data governance, reporting standardization, and cross-department alignment.
- 5+ years of experience in reporting, financial analysis, or BI/reporting roles.
- Ability to communicate complex data and reporting concepts to non-technical business users.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline: Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer or related field.
Great to Have:
- Experience with BI and reporting tools.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure Stack.
- A master's degree or relevant certifications can be a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CPA/CFA/CMA preferred.
