Summary: 


 


Builds and maintains datasets to support enterprise reporting, data marts, and ad hoc analysis. Performs advanced data analysis and modeling, translating business needs into high-quality requirements for reporting and visualization. Provides consultative support, ensures data integrity, and delivers actionable insights through prescriptive recommendations.


 


Responsibilities: 


 



  • Develop datasets that serve as sources for various reports and enterprise data marts.

  • Analyze datasets – perform exploratory analysis, data manipulation, or data modeling for deliverables.

  • Leads or facilitates meetings to translate business needs into clearly defined, well-documented, high-quality requirements to support future reporting and visualizations.

  • Provides consultative assistance to cross-functional teams and external departments working with data.

  • Assists in the development of complex ad hoc reporting.

  • Exercises discretion and applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning, and/or implementation of critical business initiatives.

  • Provides prescriptive recommendations for action as part of reporting based on analysis of requested data.

  • Applies data best practices to ensure the quality and accessibility of assembled datasets.

  • Analyze financial and operational data using tools such as SQL and Python to support strategic decision-making and forecasting.

  • Design and implement data processes to integrate data from multiple sources into centralized repositories, cleaning, transforming and validating datasets that ensure accuracy and consistency for analytical use.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and underwriting teams to align business strategies and performance goals.

  • Develop and present business proposals, dashboards, and performance reports to senior leadership.

  • Monitor agency production and performance, enabling segmentation and channel value proposition alignment.

  • Support the implementation of business development tools and infrastructure to enhance analytics capabilities.

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, talent forums, and cross-regional assessments to refine Business Development strategy.


 


Qualifications:


 



  • Bachelor’s Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience.

  • 4-6 years' experience or equivalent, related knowledge.

  • Incumbents in this role should have at least 2 of the following experiences:

    • Taking on a role in different function, such as IT or Advanced Analytics, to bring increased knowledge and perspective back to Business Intelligence (especially important for the Advisor and Senior Advisor levels).

    • Participating in or leading a cross functional team.

    • Participating in or leading complex projects.

    • Completing an assignment in another team/department.

    • Working on a global project team.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.


 


Salary Range


 


$115,000 - $140,000
