Responsibilities as a Business Office Assistant
Manage accounts receivable, including billing, collections, and follow-up on outstanding balances
Maintain and update the daily facility census with accuracy
Assist residents and families with Medicaid applications and long-term care conversions
Guide families through the financial process, including documentation and eligibility requirements
Communicate with insurance providers, agencies, and internal departments
Support overall business office and administrative operations
Qualifications as a Business Office Assistant
Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or business office operations (healthcare/long-term care preferred)
Knowledge of the Medicaid application process and long-term care conversions strongly preferred
Willingness and ability to learn and grow within the role
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, billing systems, data entry)
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Compassionate and professional when working with residents and families
