Job Description

Description

Finley Road Partners provides specialized administrative, human resources, staffing, and related employer services for a variety of clients. The Company specializes in event labor management. With local expertise and national reach, we have the industry’s most comprehensive database of technicians, and the country’s best crewing managers located on the ground in local markets throughout North America. We’re the Employer-of-Choice for field technicians around the U.S. and Canada.

Job Summary: The Business Operations Lead is a hybrid strategic and tactical powerhouse leader within the Business Operations Team. In this role, the incumbent will drive results and bridge the gap between high-level leadership strategy and technical execution. This role is responsible for both designing the macro-level organizational architecture of how our operations scale and translating those structural blueprints into granular, ironclad system requirements. The Business Operations Lead will handle the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. Responsible for designing high-level plans to scale our operations and then translate those plans into system requirements. This is a fully remote position.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document current-state ("as-is") operational processes across crewing, payroll, and union benefit workflows, and develop scalable future-state ("to-be") process designs.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with frontline users to understand functional system needs and process edge cases and write Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) complete with step-by-step user paths, field mappings, and complex data logic.
  • Build and execute the operational delivery models for transitioning clients into our crewing and labor platforms, ensuring zero disruption to field operations.
  • Ensure all dependencies between business units (Sales, Crewing, Payroll, HR, and Union Funds) are fully accounted for, eliminating operational silos.
  • Partner directly with the technical Product Ops Team during backlog grooming and refinement sessions to clarify business intent, answer technical execution questions, and remove development blockers.
  • Design and execute UAT scripts to test newly deployed technical solutions against original business requirements and continuously audit existing configurations within core workforce management platforms to find opportunities for automation.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Business Operations to prioritize corporate initiatives, system transitions, and regional market expansions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6 – 8+ years of combined experience in business architecture, business process management (BPM), strategic operations, or enterprise-level business systems analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, Lean Six Sigma) are a strong plus.
  • Mastery of process mapping frameworks and visual design tools (such as Miro, Lucidchart, or Visio) to translate complex, messy workflows into clean, scannable structural blueprints.
  • Experience gathering requirements and mapping data flows for robust CRM and workforce management software (e.g., Salesforce, ProCrewz, or industry-equivalent platforms). Strong ability to read and write data logic, understand API data exchanges, and map database fields.
  • Proven experience designing workflows that scale across multi-entity corporate structures, large databases, or complex marketplace models.
  • Direct experience in event labor management, workforce management, high-volume staffing, live event crew scheduling, or multi-regional payroll/union compliance operations is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interview both executives and field managers, translating their feedback into precise system rules and workflows.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of finding the hidden loopholes or edge cases in a workflow before they impact live operations.
