Summary
The IT
Manufacturing Engineer/Business Systems Analyst provides disciplined technical expertise in the
development, deployment, and support of manufacturing applications and systems
supporting factory operations. This role focuses on production support, system
enhancements, and new project delivery, including Manufacturing Execution
Systems (MES), inventory tracking, process control, equipment integration,
analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics.
The IT Manufacturing Engineer partners closely with IT, engineering, quality,
operations, and external vendors to implement and sustain reliable, cost‑effective,
and efficient manufacturing systems. The role serves as a technical expert for
both internally developed and commercially purchased applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing
Systems Application Support - Provide day‑to‑day
production support and enhancements for existing factory applications and MES
systems.= - Act as a technical expert for integrated systems, including in‑house and vendor‑supplied
solutions. - Troubleshoot system stability, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Administer, model, and configure Manufacturing Execution Systems (Eyelit, or
similar). - Work with engineers to transfer new manufacturing processes into MES.
- Support wafer fab / backend equipment integration, automated data collection,
workflow management, and SPC systems. - Perform data mining, investigation, and root cause analysis to support
manufacturing improvements. - Maintain system documentation, procedures, and user guides.
- Support after‑hours as required.
- Partner with
internal customers to assess needs, gather requirements, and define solutions. - Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend best‑fit options based on cost,
capability, risk, and time to deploy. - Define scope, resource needs, present solutions for approval.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy client‑server and web‑based applications.
- Analyze existing systems and implement enhancements or new functionality.
- Factory IT & Hardware Support including maintenance of inventory, factory hardware, and specialty software.
- Serve as first point of contact for factory‑specific hardware and software
issues; partner with IT for resolution. - Coordinate installation of factory PCs, tablets, printers, and other devices.
- Work closely with fab supervision to plan and coordinate activities.
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in manufacturing IT systems and drive
improvements.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial
Engineering, Operations, or related field.
Experience - 3+ years of
Commercial Semiconductor Suite experience (Administration, Modeling, Business
Rules) or comparable MES platform (Eyelit). - 5+ years of experience supporting application and database systems in a
manufacturing and/or IT environment. - Experience across the full system lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution
design, testing, deployment, training, and support.
MES
platforms: Eyelit, or similar - Basic programming experience using C#, Python, ASP.NET, XML.
- Database experience using SQL Server (SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS/DTS)
- Expertise Windows OS and infrastructure knowledge
- Basic networking knowledge such as SAP experience a plus
- SPC, DOE, RCCA familiarity is preferred.

to wear a smock suit. - Willingness to adjust work schedule to support factory operations.
The Salary Range for this position is $60,000 – $113,000. Actual
salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not
limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and
specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
