Department: Banquets
Reports To: Banquet Manager

Position Summary:
The Event Staff is responsible for delivering food and drinks to guests at large events, parties, and weddings. This role includes serving food, helping set up and break down events, and providing excellent customer service. Banquet Servers may work in a variety of venues, and availability to work on call is essential. We seek energetic, friendly, focused, and efficient individuals who can engage with guests and collaborate effectively with team members under the guidance of their manager.

Primary Job Duties:

  1. Guest Interaction:
    • Greet guests as they arrive at the event and direct them to their assigned tables or seats.
    • Ensure guests are comfortable by answering questions, taking orders, and relaying special requests and instructions to the kitchen and bar.
  2. Food and Beverage Service:
    • Circulate around the event with trays of appetizers and beverages, ensuring they are easily accessible to guests.
    • Serve food and drinks attentively and efficiently, maintaining a high level of service throughout the event.
  3. Event Navigation:
    • Point guests in the right direction for necessary services and features of the event, ensuring a smooth experience.
    • Provide tours of the event location to guests, helping them feel comfortable and acquainted with the environment.
  4. Team Support:
    • Support other staff members as needed to maintain guest satisfaction and ensure a seamless event execution.
    • Collaborate with team members to meet the needs of both guests and the event organizer.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow safety and quality regulations to keep both guests and staff members safe.
    • Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in food service or banquet settings is a plus, but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Energetic and friendly demeanor, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with a team and collaborate effectively to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work on call, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

Summary

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during banquet events at Camp Lucy. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Banquet Bartender will work closely with the Banquet Bar Lead and the rest of the service team to create a memorable experience for all guests.
