MD Office Solutions (MDOS) provides nuclear cardiology imaging services directly to physician offices, outpatient clinics, and hospital environments across California and Arizona — delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostics where patients need them most. Our headquarters are located in Hayward, CA, with Arizona operations based in Phoenix.
Our Cardiac Stress Technicians work alongside Nuclear Medicine Technologists and site physicians in a collaborative, team-based environment, supporting cardiac stress testing procedures and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Paid training is provided for candidates transitioning into the CST role. This position is ideal for EMTs, paramedics, and other clinical professionals seeking a transition into a weekday cardiology environment — with a predictable schedule and room to grow.

How We Work – Assignment Model
All CST assignments operate on a Traditional Mobile model. Technicians report to an MDOS hub at the start of their shift and travel with the team and imaging equipment to scheduled outpatient cardiology clinic locations.

A Typical Day at MDOS
Your day begins at the MDOS hub, where you’ll meet your Nuclear Medicine Technologist, prepare the imaging equipment, and review the day’s clinic schedule. Together, you’ll travel to outpatient cardiology clinic locations to support cardiac stress testing procedures — ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and compassionate care.
Most days involve supporting one primary clinic location, with occasional travel between nearby sites depending on scheduling needs. Clinic schedules are generally heaviest Tuesday through Thursday. Most workdays occur Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage depending on operational needs.
MDOS provides all equipment and supplies needed to perform testing at each clinic location.
Position Overview
The Cardiac Stress Technician works under the direct supervision of the site physician and assists with nuclear medicine cardiac stress testing procedures, including patient preparation and monitoring during exercise and pharmacological stress testing. CSTs also support mobile imaging operations, including equipment setup, supply management, van operation, and patient documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for cardiac stress testing, including consent, vitals, and peripheral IV access
- Set up and monitor 12-lead EKG stress testing, including lead placement, rhythm identification, and interpretation
- Administer pharmacological stress agents under physician supervision and apply ACLS protocols if complications arise
- Drive and operate the company van in compliance with Radiation Safety and DOT regulations
- Set up and break down mobile operations at customer sites, including equipment, pharmaceutical supplies, and medical waste disposal
- Work alongside Nuclear Medicine Technologists and site physicians during procedures
- Maintain medical supplies and equipment
- Complete and submit patient charting on the same day of service

Preferred Background
Candidates with experience in clinical or emergency medical environments are encouraged to apply. Preferred backgrounds include:
- Paramedic
- EMT
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Medical Assistant
- Other clinical or emergency medical roles
Experience with IV placement and 12-lead EKG monitoring is strongly preferred.
Required Certifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) — American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no violations to operate company fleet vehicles
Growth Opportunities
Cardiac Stress Technicians in California can advance to the Cardiac Stress Technician Advanced (CSTA) role as they gain experience and demonstrate proficiency in cardiac stress testing procedures and clinical operations. This role provides a pathway for clinical professionals to develop specialized experience in nuclear cardiology.
Work Environment
Technicians provide services in physician offices, outpatient clinics, and hospital settings as part of MDOS’s mobile imaging program. As with all healthcare roles, exposure to infectious diseases and radiation is possible. MDOS technicians follow strict radiation safety protocols, including use of personal radiation monitoring badges and protective equipment. Emergency response procedures may apply in the event of a radioactive spill.
