Job Description

 

At Home Instead, we believe aging should be shaped by the individual, not defined by limitations. We're looking for compassionate Care Pros to provide meaningful, hands-on support that helps older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home.

The right Care Pro will be confident providing personal care, experienced supporting individuals living with dementia, and willing to take initiative to help clients maintain healthy routines and a high quality of life.

 

Schedules

  • Part Time - Day shifts and overnight shifts available 
  • Coverage needed 7 days a week
  • Strong attendance, consistency, and communication are essential
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance required

What You'll Do

  • Safely guide and assist clients with transfers, mobility, and movement throughout the home.
  • Prepare balanced meals and snacks that promote nutrition, hydration, and overall wellness.
  • Offer medication reminders in accordance with the care plan and established routines.
  • Promote physical well-being through walks, exercise, stretching, and other appropriate daily activities.
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable living environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and routine household tasks.
  • Foster meaningful connections through conversation, engagement, companionship, and emotional reassurance.
  • Navigate dementia-related challenges using patience, redirection, consistency, and person-centered approaches.
  • Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns to help ensure continuity of care.
  • Complete accurate documentation and communicate important updates in a timely manner.
