Duties

Serves as a program coordinator responsible for administration of the DFAS Career Acclimation Program (DCAP) and DFAS Pathways Internship programs.,Participates in the recruitment, on-boarding, and daily administration of programs; provides authoritative guidance to various stakeholders (participants, supervisors, administrative/support staff, applicants) on program requirements and offerings.,Creates, coordinates and delivers training and professional career development activities to program participants. Maintains awareness of participants' progress towards program completion and provides status reports to stakeholders.,Represents the agency in college recruiting events; supports branding and marketing projects promoting DFAS as an employer of choice; is a key contributor in managing the overall experience for applicants, participants and educational institutions.,Applies analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to summarize and measure data to improve the effectiveness and/or organizational productivity of the DCAP and DFAS Pathways Internship programs.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: administering professional career development, training or recruitment initiatives focusing on the business needs of an organization; recommending changes to administrative processes, procedures and workflows to improve program operations; and providing advisory services, technical guidance or program guideline recommendations to managers and/or program participants. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
