Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Carryout Specialist 

Reports to: Front of House Manager 

Compensation: $7.50 per hour + Tip Pool Share

Job Purpose:  

Our passion is creating craveable, memorable dining experiences. The Carryout Specialist provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional carryout experience for all guests. This includes taking orders, answering questions, making recommendations, processing transactions on POS, organizing and assembling orders, closing transactions, and providing assembled orders to guests for carry-out. The specialist also sets up, maintains, cleans, and closes the carryout area of the restaurant. 

 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Guest Service – Answer phones, take orders, and assist guests in person with professionalism. 

  • Order Flow – Coordinate with team and kitchen to manage phone, online, and in-person orders accurately. 

  • Quality Standards – Follow carry-out procedures to deliver consistent guest experiences. 

  • Teamwork – Support teammates, fill in as needed, and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts. 

  • Housekeeping – Maintain cleanliness of waiting areas, patio, and carry-out stations. 

  • Station Readiness – Stock, prep, and close stations per Q39 procedures; report equipment or supply issues. 

Qualifications

Requirements:  

  • 1 year server experience at a full-service restaurant. 

  • Experience with Micros POS or similar and tablet. 

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment while maintaining service accuracy and interacting with guests and fellow team members. 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extensive periods of time during 4–5-hour shift 

  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds 

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures and functions. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
