Stuck between jobs? Come help Goodwill as a seasonal driver! We offer a competitive hourly pay rate. We are first shift and don’t leave the state of CT and you will be home every evening and Sundays off! We are in need of help through August of 2026 or longer. Must be able to drive manual transmission and primary duties will be drop and hook and drive a straight truck to transport donations.

Responsibilities

  • Must always act as a representative of Goodwill and act accordingly, i.e., professionally and courteously.  
  • Must report all accidents timely and according to standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of agency vehicles.
  • Will drive straight truck, roll-off (training provided), and tractor trailer.
  • Will go to Wheelabrator Trash Facility to empty trash containers with roll-off truck.
  • Will do drop and hook at Goodwill retail stores.
  • Change trash, metal, and cardboard containers as needed in yard.
  • Will help prepare trailer and trucks as needed for delivery.
  • Will do off-loads at Goodwill attended donation centers.
  • Great attitude with customer service skills.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Connecticut Commercial Class A driver’s license.
  • Must have current medical certification.
  • Must be available weekends.
  • Must be able lift, push, and pull 50lbs.
  • Flexible start/end time.
