Job Description

First-McNess Company is hiring a full-time CDL Truck Driver for our Lodi, WI location.  





  • Local driving routes – home every day





 



Starting Pay: $26+ per hour (compensation will be determined by relevant experience and the interview process)  



Pay Type: Hourly rate with overtime pay, paid bi-weekly  



Core Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (with available overtime as needed)  





  • Start Time Between: 6am - 8am 





Work Location: 9077 Schutz Road, Lodi, WI 53555

POSITION SUMMARY:   



The Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers and company locations. This role involves operating a company CDL vehicle, assisting with unloading when required, completing backhauls, and representing the company with professionalism at customer sites. Drivers play a key role in supporting our customers, food safety standards, and overall supply chain operations.   



 



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  





  • Operate company CDL vehicle according to company schedule to deliver products to customers    







  • Report any problems encountered with delivery or customers to Manager or designee, immediately  







  • Complete occasional overnight trips using sleeper berths  







  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD)  







  • Load, move, and unload product as required, including use of pallet jacks  







  • Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues using mobile applications  







  • Complete required paperwork, mileage reports, and fuel/receipt documentation  







  • Perform backhauls when required after deliveries  







  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly equipment and work areas  







  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety, food safety, and biosecurity procedures  







  • Report vehicle maintenance or repair needs promptly  







  • Represent Furst‑McNess with professionalism and strong customer service  







  • Perform other duties as assigned  





 



QUALIFICATIONS:  





  • High school diploma or equivalent  







  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record  







  • Strong safety awareness and customer service mindset  







  • Comfortable with mobile technology, ELDs, and routing applications  







  • Ability to read, write, and speak English  







  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate equipment issues clearly    







  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., and occasionally handle additional feed bags, depending on the truck type
