Job Description

We’re Hiring: CDL Truck Driver (Class A)

Department: Shipping and Receiving
Location: Polkton, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time

Are you a dependable CDL driver who takes pride in professionalism, safety, and representing your company well on the road? We’re looking for a Class A CDL Truck Driver to support our Shipping and Receiving Department by safely and efficiently transporting materials and finished products.

This role is ideal for someone who manages their time well, works independently, and enjoys consistent hours with opportunities for overtime.


What You’ll Be Doing

Operate company-owned trucks to transport materials and products safely and efficiently
Haul various types of loads, including flatbeds and box trailers
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and vendors
Manage delivery schedules and time effectively to meet shipment deadlines
Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
Maintain communication with shipping and supervisory staff regarding deliveries
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies

Most drivers average 50–60 hours per week, with overtime available after regular shift hours.


Schedule

Shipping Department hours are 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Drivers may start earlier or finish later depending on assigned loads
Overtime opportunities are available daily after the scheduled shift


What We’re Looking For

Valid Class A CDL in the state of North Carolina (required)
Punctual, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
