POSITION TITLE: CEO of Rome CCA & Director of CTAE



DEPARTMENT: Teaching, Leading, Learning (TLL)



WORK DAYS: 240 days



REPORTS TO: Superintendent



PAY SCALE: Based on state and local scale 



 


REQUIREMENTS:


 






















  • Educational Level: Master's Degree required; Specialist Degree Preferred




  • Certification/License Required: Valid Georgia Educational Leadership Certification preferred




  • Experience: 5 years in K-12 school programs; 3 years building or district level leadership experience




  • Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities; travel to research other facilities and program opportunities




  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication skills, planning and organizational skills, ability to manage time with flexibility; leadership/supervisory skills; computer technology skills; Ability to work well with staff and the public



The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


 












































































































Strategic Leadership & Reporting




  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance to fulfill leadership duties 




  • Assumes responsibility for leadership of CCA in achieving its stated mission, vision, and goals




  • Facilitates regular, transparent communication with the Superintendent, faculty, parents, and community partners




  • Provides appropriate and regular reports to the Superintendent regarding program status. 




  • Conducts ongoing evaluations of strategic plans and makes operational recommendations to the Superintendent or designee 




  • Creates an Annual Report aligned strictly with state requirements (GCCAN). 



Fiscal & Asset Management 




  • Assumes responsibility for the comprehensive planning and submission of annual local, state, and federal budgets to the Superintendent and the State 




  • Prepares specific budgets for individual programs and directly supervises all disbursements 




  • Manages and tracks all physical and financial assets allocated to the Academy 




  • Conducts ongoing needs assessments for students, faculty, and equipment to guide future investments 



Curriculum, Instructional & STEM Leadership 




  • Exercises leadership in development and continuous improvement of curriculum  and instructional programs of CCA and their coordination with CTAE




  • Supervises the broader CCA/CTAE educational program, working cooperatively with staff on curriculum development, revision, and evaluation




  • Oversees the administration of End of Pathway Assessments (EOPAs) to guarantee they remain industry-significant and widely recognized




  • Works in tandem with the Director of School Improvement, Director of Special Education, and Curriculum Director to identify needs and assist with district growth




  • Supports schools with the development and classroom integration of Secondary STEM programs




  • Leads school-based and district-wide professional learning for CTAE and the integration of STEM and other specialized programming



Personnel & District Articulation




  • Works cooperatively with Human Resources and school administration in the recruitment, screening, hiring, training, assigning, and evaluation of CCA/CTAE staff in accordance with Board policies 




  • Collaborates with school principals to organize and coordinate programs within their buildings, fostering strong horizontal and vertical continuity throughout the district




  • Supervises and provides strategic direction for business engagement committees and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) 



Business & Community Engagement 




  • Spends at least 50% of the time engaging directly with the business community to ensure the Academy stays abreast of the changing economy 




  • Identifies, establishes, and maintains strategic partnerships with local businesses, industries, and government agencies to directly inform the Academy's curriculum 




  • Interacts with local industry leaders to secure financial support, in-kind donations, and a wide variety of direct job connections for students




  • Maintains cooperative relationships with government agencies and community organizations to negotiate service support, student internships, and apprenticeships



Postsecondary & Professional Networks 




  • Serves as the primary liaison between the Governing Board, postsecondary institutions, and the employment community




  • Develops long-term relationships with institutions such as Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Georgia Highlands College, Shorter University, and Berry College to increase opportunities for students to earn postsecondary credit 




  • Attends professional meetings, conferences, and workshops to maintain cutting-edge professional knowledge, build network opportunities, and foster collaboration
