This position is primarily located at Black River Healthcare Clinic - Hospital Campus.

  • Full-time, 80-hour per pay period, Day Shift and hours (Mon-Fri), benefited

As a CMA, you will play an essential role in supporting both patients and providers by delivering exceptional clinical and administrative care. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains standards of excellence following standards set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Compliance Team, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Performs various functions in the Black River Healthcare Clinic, including screening telephone calls related to patient care and evaluating according to the protocols set forth by the provider. Discuss with the provider when indicated.
  • Utilizes an online scheduling system to schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate necessary tests or procedures in collaboration with other departments and healthcare facilities.
  • Administers medications, immunizations, and performs lab draws as directed by the provider, and follows organizational procedures.
  • Completes forms as needed for each physician/provider. Assists with obtaining necessary signatures on appropriate admissions and/or consents for treatments.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or able to complete within three months of hire
  • Certification through AAMA, CCMA, AMT (registered), ARMA, or NCMA is required within three months of hire
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures, equipment, and computer systems preferred
