Position Overview
Garden City Cottages is seeking caring, dependable, and compassionate Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to join our team. We are hiring FT, PT, and PRN Certified Medical Assistants who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring residents receive quality care, medication assistance, and support with daily living activities. Our Certified Medical Assistants are valued members of the healthcare team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve every day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Observe residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects.
- Document medication administration and resident responses appropriately.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to all residents.
- Respond promptly to resident requests and concerns.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support the overall well-being and quality of life of residents.
