Medical Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Medical Assistant is needed to provide back office duties in a medical office setting. Duties include vital signs, rooming patients, prescription refills, lab and imaging order entry, EMR data entry, and telephone triage. This is a permanent, 40-hour per week, benefits-eligible position that pays a shift differential for the responsibility of working in a variety of clinics.

REQUIREMENTS:

National medical assistant certification or Louisiana LPN license required. Non-certified medical assistants must have at least two years of medical office experience in order to qualify. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. This position requires the ability to work between the hours of 7:30 am and 6:00 pm.
