Job Description

SUMMARY

The Certified Welder II is a highly skilled welder capable of performing multi-process welding in all positions while maintaining AWS and AISC quality standards. This position supports complex fabrication projects and mentors less experienced welders.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW
  • Weld in all positions to AWS D1.1. D1.5 standards. (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G)
  • Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings.
  • Assist with weld troubleshooting and defect reduction.
  • Ability to successfully carbon arc gouge
  • Train and mentor Production Welders.
  • Maintain welding certifications and qualification records.
  • Support quality inspections and corrective actions.

Successful candidates will have:

  • AWS D1.1 Certified Welder.
  • Completion of AISC Welding Training (WD-01 through WD-10).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding processes.
  • Ability to pass internal weld qualification testing.
