In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Charge Nurse - LPN.
Work Location: Bradenton, FL
As part of this role, you will:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of nursing staff, including CNAs and support personnel
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, report changes to physicians and RNs
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records and documentation
- Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Respond to emergencies and provide clinical guidance during critical situations
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and standards
- Assist with staffing assignments, scheduling, and shift coverage as needed
- Mentor and support nursing staff to promote professional development and quality care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 1–3 years of nursing experience (charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred but not required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment
Summary
The LPN Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations within an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supervising nursing staff. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, including coordinating care delivery, managing workflow, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
