Unicoi State Park & Lodge is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to direct, coordinate, and oversee all engineering projects and maintenance operations across the lodge, cabins, and park facilities. You�ll plan and execute engineering projects, manage preventive maintenance, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the safety, security, and comfort of every guest and associate. This is a leadership role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, offering the chance to shape the long-term health of a premier hospitality property.

What You�ll Do

• Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations across the lodge, cabins, and park facilities
• Plan and execute engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and staffing
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure proper operation of all building systems
• Manage purchasing, inventory, invoices, and departmental records
• Supervise, train, and evaluate engineering staff
• Ensure safety, security, and compliance with state, DNR, and corporate standards
• Support emergency response and loss-prevention efforts
• Maintain a secure building as it pertains to lock and key control
• Assist in all emergencies in order to protect our guests
• Assist Safety Committee in all aspects

What We�re Looking For

• Proven engineering or maintenance leadership experience (hospitality preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
• Excellent project management, communication, and team-leadership skills
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction
