About the Department
Under direction provides professional social services to a variety of children, adult and family clients. Provide ongoing case management services. Perform intake responsibilities on a rotating basis. Required to participate in an informal on-call system.
Typical schedule is 37.5 hours/week; however additional hours may be required but varies per workload demands.
Remote work option after one year of service and upon application and approval.
Position Duties
Ability to communicate with the public, vulnerable adults, disabled children, other county employees, law enforcement and school personnel, medical and mental health professionals, attorneys, court and various other service providers. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to analyze complex situations and implement appropriate responses. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field, or a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
Must have a valid driver’s license. Must complete Foundations Training.
Must attend continuing education courses as appropriate.
Other Qualifications
Word processing and spreadsheet competency required. Willingness to learn additional software as needed for the position is required.
