Job Description
The Civil Commercial Truck Driver under the supervision of the Project Foreman, Superintendent, or Civil Director, will drive a dump truck and trailer. 

Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
 
  • Operate a dump truck to transport equipment and materials to job sites.
  • Operate truck to efficiently to maintain production goals
  • General housekeeping and maintenance checks of truck including reporting usage/utilization hours daily or as directed by supervisor
  • Ability to work in Alabama
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Perform any other general duties as directed

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a valid CDL and driver’s license. Must maintain and meet all required DOT regulations and Class A license requirements
  • Capable of working with minimal oversight by willing to follow directions closely
  • Ability to work in extreme weather fluctuations
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a great work ethic
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Must be reliable and have a flexible work schedule
Working Conditions

Normal on-site construction field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving and mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Typical Physical Needs

Requires using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stand, talk and hear. Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. Must be able to frequently lift 30 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
