Clamp Truck Driver (Night Shift)

The Clamp Truck Driver is responsible for the safe movement of large paper rolls within the warehouse and pressroom as well as moving materials throughout the plant as assigned by forklift. This includes receiving the product, distribution of the product to the correct department, and being responsible for the recycling of cardboard, plastic, and oversigs.

WHAT YOU�LL DO ON THE A-TEAM:

  • Safely operates equipment to move materials and products to designated areas of the manufacturing facility.
  • Receive products and items into the plant, then distribute to the proper area or department.
  • Stage product to be moved or shipped.
  • Transport/Process manufacturing paper by-products.
  • Perform routine daily inspections on trucks, reporting any maintenance issues as needed.
  • Changing of LP/Propane tanks.
  • Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures, lock out-tag out rules, and hearing and eye protection requirements.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects assigned.

WHAT YOU�LL NEED:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or Shipping and Receiving required.
  • Must have good driving skills and the ability to drive a forklift truck into extremely tight spaces.
  • 1 to 3 years of clamp truck experience, highly preferred.
  • Strong written and communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Requires computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Valid Driver�s License.

  • Must be able to lift and carry boxes and material up to 72 lbs. to various departments throughout the plant and offices. Must be able to lift and change propane tanks. A full tank weighs approximately 70 lbs. and must be raised 5 feet from the floor to the proper position on the truck.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee works indoors in both office and production environments. Additionally, the incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts and in high places. He/she will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is frequent noise in the work environment.
