Job Description

The purpose of the Clamps/Saddles welder is to weld and cut stainless components. You will be using hand welders and some automation cutting equipment such as TIG, MIG, burn table and plasma machines to make necessary cuts and fillet welds.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and pull correct materials
  • Operate manufacturing equipment such as forming rolls, burning table, contour machine, rotator, and plasma machine
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc and gas metal arc
  • Monitor the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of materials
  • Load and unload materials to and from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Convey materials to and from storage and/or work sites to designated area, using a hand truck, forklift or another device
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and make proper notification
  • Lift heavy objects by hand and/or power hoist
  • Maintain heat numbers and labels on all domestic material
  • Prepares and performs material fit-ups
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

  Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of various metal grades, thicknesses, sizes
  3. Basic welding and cutting processes
  4. Ability to review and understand basic concepts from material list and/or drawings.

A pre-employment Background Check and 6 panel (no THC) Drug screen required
