Location: Cowles House
Pay Rate: $15 per hour

As a Clerical Aide, you will perform routine clerical support to all partners and customers both in person and over the phone. You will also be responsible for keeping the entire office running smoothly with tasks ranging from staff projects to event preparation. You will be considered the face of the organization while interacting with a wide range of guests. Typical duties may include:

  • Provide routine clerical support within an administrative unit
  • Answer phones, make copies, perform data entries, assist in maintaining records and accounts
  • Run errands
  • Greet visitors and guests
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and professional office environment
  • Occasionally scheduled to work events based on service needs

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
  • Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Motivated self-starter and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Positive and respectful while working with others
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Possess a valid U.S. Issued Drivers License and be able to meet and maintain the University’s driving standards
  • Must be able to work during all home football games

Preferred Qualifications

Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Work Hours

  • Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  • Shifts are typically 4 hours
