THE POSITION

We are searching for a current Office of the Budget (OB) employee to take on this Clerical Assistant 3 position serving as office receptionist for the Bureau of Planning and Management. DESCRIPTION OF WORK


This position provides a wide range of clerical and administrative support that helps keep Bureau and Office of the Budget functions running smoothly. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties: 


  • Serve as Receptionist: Greet visitors and advise personnel on their arrival; manage visitors and staff login to maintain an accurate evacuation and emergency checklist
  • Research Customer Inquiries: Monitor daily Treasury Resource Accounts and independently verify, research, and resolve conflicts with pending check pull cases from Treasury
  • Manage Incoming Calls: Answer main phone lines for OB; screen and direct calls to staff within and outside OB
  • Support Employee Program: Assist with OB badging program and OB parking program which include processing new badge appointments, retrieving badges from staff who separate from employment, and keeping records updated  
  • Process Checks: Process and scan checks, retrieve checks from the mailroom bin for processing, and place checks in assigned mailroom bins when completed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or 
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or 
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirement: 

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience working with Microsoft office programs, SRM, and SAP
