Job Description

Clinical Coordinator 

Location: Old Bridge, NJ 
Entity: Alliance Orthopedics 
Reports To: Physician Extender 

The Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in the orthopedic department, providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery. As a Clinical Coordinator you will be the liaison between our medical providers and patients to monitor procedure plans, connectfollow up and evaluate our patients progress. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the orthopedic clinic, including patient intake, registration, and medical record maintenance.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and other departments to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, in compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and available for healthcare providers.
  • Navigating EMR (Carecloud), being able to find appropriate documents for patient care, being able to write and assist with patient notes, infrequent medical billing
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with external healthcare facilities, such as imaging centers and physical therapy clinics.
  • Assist in quality improvement initiatives, participating in audits, data collection, and process improvement activities. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a clinical or administrative role within an orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical records management, including electronic health record systems is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in handling clinical documentation and patient information.
