Full-time, 80 hours/pay period
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. After hours and weekend work for maintenance, upgrades, and deployments may be required.
Hybrid, requiring candidate to work 2 days on-site per week. Must live within 100 miles of Mankato, MN.
The Clinical Systems Developer Lead designs, codes, tests, and analyzes software programs and applications, managing the full production lifecycle from specification through deployment. This position develops and maintains internally built applications and databases, resolves software errors in a timely fashion, and collaborates with clinical and administrative stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement. The role requires a highly detail-oriented individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills who can independently manage and prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects.
Key Job Duties:
- Design, develop, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications according to established specifications and standards.
- Design, implement, and maintain a cohesive application and integration architecture across the EHR, Practice Management, biomedical devices, and other enterprise systems as assigned; govern interface management and architectural planning to ensure interoperability, scalability, and reliable data flow.
- Create and maintain documentation, user manuals, and guidelines for developed applications and systems.
- Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues; review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
- Extract and analyze data to support clinical and operational decision-making, including dashboards, trend performance analysis, and submissions to payers and government entities.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field OR 4 years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in software development, data analytics, or business intelligence in a production environment.
- Proficient with modern programing languages; including but not limited to Python, .Net, PowerShell, HL7/FHIR, XML/JSON and SQL.
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or Redshift)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in related field
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Experience with Touchworks EHR and Veradigm Practice Management
Benefits & Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $82,472 - $123,614, initial pay based on relevant work experience.
Our clinic environment offers primarily daytime, weekday schedules, helping employees maintain consistency in their daily routines. All employees scheduled 60-80 hours per pay period are eligible for full benefits.
