Job Description

Cimarron is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud DevOps Programmer Analyst. The ideal candidate will work within a complex, fast‑paced environment delivering technical security solutions that primarily support physical security operations and services that protect people, property, products, and information. This individual must have strong technical analysis, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills to perform effectively in a dynamic environment. This pivotal role will focus on developing and maintaining web and application layers of legacy systems and on modernization and rehosting efforts to cloud platforms. This position is 100% onsite located in Seal Beach, CA. 

Key Duties:

  • Implement, test, document, and maintain web applications and APIs; apply bug fixes and incremental feature enhancements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Write, review, and maintain production‑quality code (back‑end and front‑end as needed) and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Build and operate CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using GitLab, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
  • Containerize applications with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes or managed container services.
  • Provision and operate cloud infrastructure in Azure and/or AWS; use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for repeatable deployments.
  • Execute unit and integration tests; develop and manage test plans and release validation procedures.
  • Use static/dynamic code scanning and other security tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and to enforce code compliance.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Document system configurations, runbooks, deployment steps, and architecture decisions.
  • Participate in continuous learning; share knowledge and collaborate to improve team outcomes.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 3 or more years of professional experience in full‑stack development, cloud engineering, or DevOps roles.
  • 3 or more years with CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • 3 or more years working with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating cloud services in Azure or AWS.
  • 3 or more years of experience in one or more languages (C#, Java, or Python) and related frameworks (.NET, Spring Boot, etc.).
  • 3 or more years of experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • 1or more years of experience with cloud security fundamentals (IAM, secrets management, encryption).
  • Periodic on-site presence required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required enhanced background screening and security requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical degree.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1or more years of experience with IaC tools (Bicep, ARM, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Front‑end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or TypeScript.
  • Experience modernizing, refactoring, or migrating legacy applications to cloud.
  • Practical experience using AI‑assisted development tools (code completion, automated testing, code review assistants) or spec‑driven development workflows to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling and performance tuning.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps).
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, late evenings, or other off‑hours support.
