Job Description

✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Coach Counselor (Youth Care Worker) at The Tampa Residential Facility in Tampa, Florida                

Tampa Residential Facility is comprised of multiple co-located residential commitment programs serving moderate-risk male youth aged 14 to 18 who require behavioral/mental health and substance abuse services. The programs utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, treatment, and supervision. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while at the program. Come as you are and help us create lasting change in the lives of the students we serve. 

Pay: $19.00 per hour.  Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: A Coach Counselor (Youth Care Worker) provides around-the-clock in-person safety and security. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal, and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development. A Coach Counselor provides an atmosphere that supports the youth’s needs; monitors and documents behaviors and activities; and participates in and assists with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities. Youth Care Worker will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

To be considered, you should: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 2/3/3/2.
