PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role is accountable for the execution, coordination, and delivery of coating strategy initiatives that enable growth within the Nonwovens business. Working under the direction of the Director, Strategic Marketing, this position ensures that strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans and executed with rigor, speed, and cross-functional alignment.
REPORTS TO: Director, Strategic Marketing - Global Nonwovens
SPAN OF CONTROL:
This role operates in a matrixed, cross-functional environment, coordinating work across R&D, operations, supply chain, product management, commercial, and marketing teams. While the role may not have significant direct reports, it is accountable for driving execution across multiple stakeholders and ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Execution & Translation
- Translate coating and product strategies into clear execution plans, milestones, and deliverables
- Ensure alignment to stage gate processes and standardized work practices across initiatives
- Monitor progress against key objectives and escalate risks or gaps as needed
- Manage technology decisions and asset investment selections
Program & Initiative Execution
- Program management for large Capex initiatives
- Lead coordination of coating strategy initiatives and workstreams
- Track and manage:
- Key actions and deliverables
- Project timelines and milestones
- Dependencies across teams
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business goals
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the central integrator across technical, commercial, and operational teams
- Facilitate working sessions, execution reviews, and progress updates
- Ensure clear alignment on priorities, ownership, and next steps across stakeholders
Risk Identification & Problem Solving
- Proactively identify execution risks, constraints, and barriers
- Lead development and implementation of mitigation plans and solutions
- Navigate trade-offs across priorities, resources, and timelines to maintain forward progress
Communication & Reporting
- Provide clear, concise updates to the Director and leadership team on:
- Initiative progress
- Key risks and issues
- Decisions required
- Prepare materials and insights to support leadership reviews and decision-making
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Capture and integrate lessons learned into ongoing and future initiatives
- Drive improvements in execution processes, tools, and ways of working
- Support development of a disciplined, repeatable execution model
Support to Growth Initiatives
- Support execution of initiatives focused on:
- Coating-driven differentiation
- New application development
- Material conversion and customer value creation
- Contribute to advancing new business development priorities through strong execution
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5–8 years of experience in product management, R&D, operations, marketing, or program management
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, or related discipline
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed organizations
- Proven ability to manage complex projects or initiatives end-to-end
- Experience translating strategy into execution plans and deliverables
- Familiarity with stage-gate processes or structured project methodologies
- Experience in manufacturing, materials, or building products industries
