Structural / Pipe Welder

Position Overview

Durus Industrial is seeking skilled welders capable of performing structural welding in heavy industrial and infrastructure environments.

This role requires individuals who can maintain high-quality weld standards under field conditions and production schedules. Durus supports ongoing infrastructure projects, including border wall construction and repair, in remote, high-output environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW, FCAW, and/or GMAW welding processes
• Execute structural welding 
• Read and interpret WPS/PQR requirements
• Perform fit-up, welding, and field modifications
• Complete weld inspections, repairs, and quality control

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial welding experience
• Current or prior welding certifications (AWS, ASME preferred)
• Ability to pass weld tests as required
• Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality standards
• Experience working in field conditions and at elevation

Work Environment & Expectations

• Travel required across AZ, NM, and surrounding regions
• Active work on remote project sites, including border wall construction zones
• Extended work schedules aligned with long-duration projects (not short-term outage work)
• Work performed in remote environments 
• Outdoor work in extreme conditions (heat, dust, terrain)
• Zero-tolerance safety culture—PPE and compliance required at all times
