Description
1. Underwrite commercial loan proposals for commercial lending staff. This includes
the preparation of a Commercial Approval Memo (CAM) utilized in the approval of
all OCSB commercial loans. Responsible for the accurate analysis of financial
statements, cash flow, collateral and industry analysis in the CAM being presented for
approval. Complete Appraisal Reviews on Commercial Real Estate transactions.
Participate in Loan Committee or Board Meetings when appropriate.
2. Portfolio management duties include responsibilities such as spreading financial
statements for loan officers; tracking current financial information on borrowers;
calculating loan covenants; evaluating borrowing base certificates; and preparation of
certain portfolio management reports. Analysts are to evaluate ongoing credit risk of
all commercial relationships to ensure credits are properly risk-rated, reserves are
correctly allocated so loan losses are minimized. Raise red flags to management
when identified. In addition, some contact with customers or accountants may be
required. Analysts are to be proficient in the current under writing software to
complete these duties.
3. Participate with Loan Officers in the clearing of financial exceptions noted both
internally and by external examiners.
4. Participate with loan officers on selected customer and prospect calls.
5. Assist with special projects and tasks as requested by the Management Team.
6. Generate periodic credit quality reports and graphic presentations relating to volume
and quality assessment for review by senior management and board members for the
ongoing evaluation of portfolio credit quality and loan loss reserve adequacy. Assist
the Chief Credit Officer in the preparation of commentary and presentation materials
for meetings of Watch Assets and the Board of Directors’ meetings.
7. Responsible for preparation, distribution and monitoring of the Commercial Lending
Exceptions Tracking report. This will include the preparation of correspondence
requesting specific financial information from the Bank's customers.
8. Assist in portfolio monitoring and various shock scenarios.
9. Assist in preparation and/or review of various periodic reports such as Supervisory
Limits, Classified Assets, Asset Watch, and other informational sources.
10. Ensure that loan portfolio complies with Bank and Federal regulations and laws.
11. Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Entry Requirements
- Understanding of credit reports, ratio analysis, and financial statement and cash flow analysis.
- Working knowledge of federal regulations.
- Ability to accept continuous compliance regulation training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred but not required.
