Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to lead and oversee mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring all projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial HVAC projects from kickoff to completion, including planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
  • Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
  • Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontractor services
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule or budget
  • Conduct job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to plans
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and company standards

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of commercial HVAC project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRF/VRV systems, ductwork, controls, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasting
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with general contractors on large-scale commercial builds
  • Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes
  • OSHA certification
