Job Description

Position Description:

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role requires a strong commitment to service excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, producers, and carrier partners. The Account Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, handling all service-related needs with professionalism, urgency, and expertise.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Manage and service an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance accounts
  • Review insurance policies for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client needs
  • Process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and new business applications
  • Prepare and issue certificates of insurance and evidence of property forms
  • Collaborate with producers to support account retention and growth strategies
  • Assist in preparing client proposals and supporting new business opportunities
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date client files in accordance with agency procedures
  • Identify opportunities for policy enhancements, upgrades, and cross-selling additional coverages
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client service inquires and requests
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters to ensure efficient service and market support

Education & Experience:

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial lines insurance experience (agency or carrier)
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance products an coverages
