Job Responsibilities:
Supports commercial clients of Lincoln Savings Bank (LSB) as a trusted advisor, bringing a full breadth of solutions to the specific needs of each client.
Develops commercial relationship prospects and manage a portfolio focusing on customer service while appropriately managing risk and credit.
Originates and process commercial loans in accordance with LSB’s internal policy, maintaining compliance with applicable lending laws and regulations.
Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities.
Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications.
Approves or rejects loan opportunities after properly vetting.
Develops a pipeline of quality commercial loans through professional interaction, consultation, and joint review of selected credits. Completes business development and retention calls on potential new prospects, existing clients and COI’s.
Grows a deposit portfolio related to the client relationships being managed, both business and personal.
Identify clients’ needs that can be met across the bank’s business units and deepen the relationship of the bank with the client by:
- Engaging Treasury Management Officers to provide overall financial solutions and deliver greater efficiencies.
- Identify loan needs that may require credit enhancement through a government guaranteed lending solution.
- Identify additional needs of the owners of commercial clients including retail, mortgage, wealth management, private banking and trust services.
- Execute on joint partner calls monthly to engage other business lines.
Manages the on-going sales cycle to meet the objectives of our business customers and to meet and exceed sales goals and business objectives.
Generally, maintains a loan portfolio of $50,000,000 or greater.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all LSB’s commercial loan products and services.
Mentors Commercial Relationship Manager I-II peers as needed.
Utilizes Salesforce CRM system to document and report on prospecting and retention activities, to refer clients to other internal partners to fully utilize all LSB products and services and to build, track and manage pipeline effectively.
Utilizes Salesforce CRM system to document and report on prospecting and retention activities, also used to refer clients to department outside of lending to fully utilize all LSB products and services.
Complies with internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies.
Represents Lincoln Savings Bank in a professional and positive manner in all duties, including active participation in civic, community, and networking events to foster strong relationships and enhance the Bank’s community presence including participating on a board of choice.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Position may require occasional company-related travel; a valid driver’s license is required.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
5-8 years of experience in commercial lending
Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline required, master’s degree preferred- I recommend we consider BA in business as preferred and not required
Demonstrates strong sales/business development skills
Displays strong customer service skills
Showcases strong employee development and sales management skills
Excellent communication, follow-up and time management skills
