Job Description

Communications & Marketing Manager

Salary range: $55,000-$60,000

SEDA-COG is looking for a creative, motivated communicator to help tell our story and promote projects that strengthen communities across an 11-county region.

 

If you enjoy writing, social media, event planning, and working with a variety of teams, this is a great opportunity to grow your career in communications.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary media & legislative contact
  • Prepare and send press releases
  • Manage social media content, engagement, and scheduling
  • Create marketing materials (flyers, newsletters, website content, etc.)
  • Plan and coordinate events (ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, etc.)
  • Collaborate with staff to highlight projects, programs, and success stories
  • Help maintain and update website content
  • Respond to public inquiries and support day-to-day communications needs (internal & external)

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR, or related field (or 5+ years of equivalent experience)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience with social media and content creation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva

 

Preferred

  • Photography, video, or graphic design skills
  • Experience with events or public outreach
