Description

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Vocational Programs, the Community Program Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the program, organizes and monitors the participant intake process and program planning. The manager position is responsible for the development and maintaining community partnerships for participants volunteer and social activities. Manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including budgeting, ensuring program compliance with funding agencies and Desert Arc’s policies and procedures. Develops, trains and manages program staff through on-going communication and training activities to maintain an effective team. Manager ensures participants charts and software management system records are kept current and in compliance with all regulations.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role or a Bachelors Degree, preferably in a community based or human services setting
  • Valid California Driver’s License & proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • Clean DMV record and Clear background check
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (Training may be provided by Desert Arc)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of programs for individuals with developmental disabilities

Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Develops and maintains community, business, recreational and educational community activities in collaboration with staff and participants
  • Participates in the development of Person-Centered Service Plans in cooperation with persons served, funding agencies & care providers
  • Acts as a liaison between funding agency & participants
  • Collaborate with appropriate staff on methods to meet participants program goals and objectives
  • Works closely with case management and program staff
  • Manages and supports community staff including interviewing, training & performance evaluations
  • Acts as Custodian of Record – organizes and monitors intakes and person-centered planning activities
  • Participates in the initial 90-day assessment/evaluation meetings between staff, participants and their circle of support.
  • Works in accordance with agency policies & procedures and Title 17 regulations
  • Maintains relationships and provides consistent follow-up with all community volunteer and social activity sites
  • Assesses the program’s effectiveness in achieving IPP objectives pursuant to Title 17
  • Assists in the development of and maintains a working knowledge of the ICBS budget
