Job Description

Job Title: Compliance Manager

Reports To: Director of Special Education or Regional Leadership Team


About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support and strengthen special education programs across K to 12 school partners throughout Michigan. In this leadership role, you'll serve as a key liaison between schools and Global Psychological, helping ensure compliance with federal and state special education requirements while improving student outcomes.

The Compliance Manager works closely with administrators, special education staff, general education teachers, and support personnel to monitor compliance, analyze program effectiveness, provide coaching and professional development, and support the implementation of high quality special education services.


What You'll Do:

Lead, support, and develop Case Managers to ensure schools meet compliance requirements and special education program goals

Facilitate ongoing professional development, coaching, and support for special education leadership staff

Assist with the development and review of REEDs, evaluations, eligibility determinations, IEPs, and other special education documentation

Conduct compliance audits and analyze program data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement

Maintain compliance dashboards and monitor school level special education performance indicators

Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance reports

Support schools during compliance reviews, audits, and reporting processes

Collaborate with school and organizational leadership to improve least restrictive environment practices, progress monitoring, interventions, and instructional programming

Provide recommendations regarding district and departmental policies, procedures, and compliance practices

Develop and deliver training to address compliance concerns and strengthen staff knowledge

Partner with administrators and school teams to implement special education programs and services effectively

Support strategic planning efforts aligned with school, district, and organizational goals

Perform other duties as assigned


What We're Looking For:

Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field

Current Michigan teaching certificate with a special education endorsement or related special education credential such as School Social Worker, School Psychologist, or Speech Language Pathologist

Michigan K to 12 School Administrator or Central Office certification

Michigan Supervisor or Director of Special Education certification (full or temporary approval)

Minimum five years of special education experience

Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience

Strong knowledge of K to 12 special education laws, regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices

Experience supervising staff and supporting professional growth

Strong analytical and data driven decision making skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to build collaborative relationships with educators, administrators, families, and community partners

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web based applications
