Job Description
OVERVIEW

Merrick is seeking a Construction Site Manager (contract) to provide to join our team at our project site in Decatur, Illinois.  This contract position will be located at our client site, not a Merrick office. This on-site contract position is expected to run from July 6 through July 29, 2026.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Responsible for all on-site management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities.
  • Responsible for establishing and monitoring job site safety, health, and environmental program.
  • Responsible for controlling project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate all required permit, inspection, and testing agency activities.
  • Ensure the quality of field installations.
  • Conduct on-site schedule coordination meetings weekly, or as required, to maintain effective communication, coordination, and schedule and cost control.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires at least three (3) years of experience in construction site management in industrial or manufacturing enviroments.
  • Candidates must be local
  • Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements is necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills are required.
  • Time management skills are a requirement of this position.
  • This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards.
  • This position requires an ability to use computers and software for communication and reporting purposes.
